2025/2026 Service Plan: Operations Department

For the 2025/26 school year, the Operations Department will be prioritizing the following areas in addition to the regular functions handled within the department:

 

• Capital Planning - Submissions:
  • Howe Sound Secondary seismic upgrade and functional improvements 
  • New Spaces (child care) applications for Ecole Squamish Elementary
  • Pemberton Secondary HVAC upgrades 
  • Windows and roofing upgrades at various sites
  • Teacherage demolition and site remediation

• Support for Accessibility Act  & Feeding Futures 
• Purchase of second alternate fuel (propane) bus
• Continue with energy reduction projects identified in the District's Strategic Energy Management Plan (SEMP)
• Completion of renovation projects funded through the Annual Facilities Grant & Minor Capital Fund
