2025/2026 Service Plan: Indigenous Education Department

For the 2025/26 school year, the Indigenous Education Department will be prioritizing the following areas in addition to the regular functions handled within the department:

• Support Indigenous Education Councils in secretariat role​
• Ongoing Implementation of Rights Holders Education Agreements​
• Lil'wat Local Education Agreement​
• Squamish Nation Protocol Agreement review & update​
• Year 2 of Indigenous Education ILT positions (north and south)​
• Year 2 of Continuation of Success Advisor FTE North​
• Support for Indigenous Leader/Advocate​
• Elders in Residence program/policy ​
• Support Board Education Sessions as requested
