2024/2025 Service Plan: Indigenous Education Department

For the 2024/25 school year, the Indigenous Education Department will be prioritizing the following areas in addition to the regular functions handled within the department:

  • Indigenous Education Council 
  • Ongoing Implementation of Lil'wat Local Education Agreement
    • LEA reporting and training annually
    • Terms of Reference and committees finalized
  • Squamish Nation Protocol Agreement Review/Update
  • Addition of 2 Indigenous Education ILT positions
  • Indigenous Leader/Advocate
  • Elders in Residence program/policy - North
