Professional Cook 1
The Professional Cook 1 program operates out of the HSS kitchen in cooperation with Vancouver Community College (VCC). The instructor, Chef Gill, is provided by VCC and the students attend M-F from 9 am – 3:30 pm. Beginning February 6th to June 27th, 2024.
The students in the program prepare a full lunch option (salads, sandwiches, soups, entrees, and bakery items). As well, they often cater to school-based functions. Students are required to purchase a uniform which costs approximately $165.00. Students will also have the option to purchase their own set of knives.
Once you are accepted into the program you will need to attend an information session (time & date TBD) and you will be required to fill out the VCC Registration forms and pay the course materials fee.
