We are thrilled to announce that Raoul Peters has become the first graduate of Q'aLaTKu7eM Community School, marking a historic moment for both the school and the community. Raoul has been at the school with us since the doors opened in 2018.

Raoul’s journey has been one of remarkable achievement. Not only has he completed his high school education, but he has also made an incredible mark in the workforce. Through his work experience with Murphy Construction, Raoul has begun his paid Red Seal apprenticeship, a significant accomplishment for any high school student and a testament to his dedication to both his trade and his future.

Raoul has also been an incredible community leader. As a champion of the school-led community garden, he has demonstrated what it means to give back, showing care for the environment and a deep commitment to his community.

To celebrate his graduation, the school gifted Raoul and his father a memorable overnight fishing trip—a special way to honour this incredible moment in Raoul’s life.

Jillian Fraser, Vice Principal and Teacher at Q'aLaTKu7em Community School, expresses her pride: "Raoul, we couldn't be prouder of all you've accomplished. You've set a shining example for those who will follow in your footsteps. Congratulations on this incredible milestone!"

Currently, 8 students from kindergarten to Grade 12 attend, benefiting from a learning environment rooted in community and cultural connection.
