Welcome Figure raised at Xwa'w'chayay (Porteau Cove Provincial Park)

On May 25, 2023, over 100 people gathered to celebrate the arrival and raising of a remarkable Welcome Figure at Xwa'w'chayay (Porteau Cove Provincial Park). The Welcome Figure was skillfully crafted by two talented carvers, Neil Baker and Delmar Joseph, from the Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw, with assistance from students at St’a7mes School.
