St'a7mes Student Film Selected as Best Documentary Film of the Youth Showcase
In April, a film from last year’s Sound Science project was selected to be in this year’s Reel2Real film festival. Jurors just chose the film as the Best Documentary Film of the Youth Showcase portion of the festival. The film There and Back: A Whale's Tale, created by Lucas McCarthy, William August, Georgia Ecceles, and Ciahni Marreiros, stood out to jurors as an exceptional piece of filmmaking, shedding light on the return of marine life to Atl’ka7tsem/Howe Sound.
These students won one-year Production Membership at Cineworks (value: $126) plus a $500 equipment/facility rental credit (total in-kind value: $1126), a massive prize for a fantastic film!
