Indigenous Youth Leadership Gathering 2025

Throughout the year, students from Pemberton Secondary, Whistler Secondary, Howe Sound Secondary, Don Ross Middle School, St'a7mes School, and Xet̓ólacw Community School come together five times to participate in the Indigenous Youth Leadership program. This initiative supports the development of leadership and mentorship skills rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
Participants build lifelong strengths in areas such as self-image, goal setting, time management, communication, and community service. They also gain hands-on experience in fundraising, event planning, decision-making, and exploring diverse leadership styles—all while deepening their cultural identity and strengthening community connections.
This final gathering of the year was a powerful reflection of the students' growth and the collective spirit that guides this meaningful program.
