Pemberton School Meal Program
![]()
Through the support of community partners, students at Signal Hill Elementary and Pemberton Secondary School have access to breakfast, lunch, and snacks. We thank the Pemberton Food Bank, Grimms Gourmet Deli, Devil’s Diner, Stewardship Pemberton, and Pemberton Valley Supermarket for their generous support.
Students can access food through before-school breakfast programs and low-barrier fridges stocked with snacks and sandwiches. Programs are open to everyone - when students are hungry at school we do not turn students away for financial or other reasons. We trust that any student who is accessing a program or asking for food at school needs it and we make them feel welcome.
Families use meal programs for many reasons, including saving time on lunches, enjoying meals with peers, easing financial pressure, or during temporary challenges. The program operates on a pay-what-you-can model to support fairness and long-term sustainability as funding is limited.
The school lunch pilot is testing a pay-what-you-can model to support equitable access and program sustainability. This means families give what they can afford, if they are able to pay for the lunch program. Payment is not required to join the program.
The suggested amount is $138 total for April 7th - June 23, approximately $6 per lunch. Any amount you can pay is appreciated. No refunds will be issued.
Lunch will be provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first lunch your student will receive will be on April 7th and lunch will not be provided on early dismissal days.
*Paper sign up forms are also available at the office. The deadline is Wednesday at 11:59 PM am for the whole term. Sign ups will not be accepted after Wednesday April 1st
