Digital Safety

Digital technology is an important part of how students learn, communicate and connect with others. Digital safety is about helping students navigate online spaces safely, responsibly and with an understanding of how their choices and interactions can affect themselves and others.
Online experiences can sometimes create challenges related to privacy, social media, cyberbullying, inappropriate content, online relationships and other emerging digital trends. Ongoing conversations about online experiences, healthy technology use and what to do when something feels unsafe or concerning can help students navigate the digital world safely.
Safer Schools Together (SST) provides practical resources to help parents and caregivers better understand the digital world young people are navigating and support safe, responsible technology use at home. Resources include information about social media, digital citizenship, cyberbullying, online trends and family technology planning.
