The Carpentry program at HSS is offered in partnership with KPU. Students attend school from 9 am – 3:15 pm Monday to Friday. Beginning February 6th to June 27th, 2024.
The course is taught by Mr. Mortensen who is a Red Seal Carpenter. There is a strict attendance policy and students are expected to arrive to class on time ready to work each and every day.  Students divide their time between classroom study/instruction and shop work both inside and out.  Each student is required to provide their own CSA-approved Steel-Toed boots and rain gear. If you are interested in the Carpentry Program:
  1. Complete the online Application Form (you must be logged in with your sd48.org account to access the online Google form).
The Career Program Office will contact you for an interview. Once you are accepted into the program you will need to attend an information session (time & date TBD) and you will be required to fill out the KPU Registration forms and pay the course materials fee of $500.
