Automotive Service Technician

The Automotive Service Technician program at HSS is offered in partnership with KPU. Students attend school from 9 am – 3:15 pm Monday to Friday Beginning January 31st to June 29th, 2022.  The course is taught by Mr. Ryall who is a Red Seal Technician.  There is a strict attendance policy and students are expected to arrive to class on time ready to work each and every day.  Students divide their time between classroom study/instruction and shop work both inside and out.  Each student is required to provide their own CSA-approved Steel-Toed boots and rain gear. If you are interested in the Automotive Service Technician:
  1. Complete the Application Form and submit it to your school counsellor or the Career Program Office at HSS
  2. Submit an updated resume to the Career Program Office at HSS
  3. Provide a letter of reference from a teacher, counsellor, employer, family friend, etc.
The Career Program Office will contact you for an interview. Once you are accepted into the program you will need to attend an information session (time & date TBD) and you will be required to fill out the KPU Registration forms and pay the course materials fee of $430.
